Jonathan Smith has been dedicated to the building industry for over 15 years. He began
his career working for a local production home builder and quickly discovered he had a
true passion for building quality homes. His experiences in quality control and customer
service allowed him to work one on one with home owners to ensure home owner
satisfaction. He not only gained valuable foundations for construction processes, he
gained a better understanding of the personal aspects of building a home. In 2006,
Jonathan left the comforts of a large building company to start his own general
contracting company. Little did he know that within a matter of months he would not only
have those desiring to build custom homes contacting him, but now a new interest from
those seeking to build such facilities as churches and other light commercial projects.

When the opportunity arose to partner with another organization who shared his strong
work ethics and desires to grow a general contracting company who truly stands behind
their work, he could not pass on the opportunity. He joined Riverbank in September of
2014. With his experience in light commercial building and his customer service
background, Jonathan is able to bring a new element to Riverbank Custom Homes. He
embodies a keen sense of detail which allows him to meet the needs of a wide variety
of customers. From the initial discussion of building, to delivering a well-built finished
product, Jonathan enjoys every step of the process.

Jonathan is a Durham native. He has two kids, Matilyn and Brady. In his free time,
he enjoys both watching and participating in sports as well as spending time outdoors
and on the water.
