John first entered into a relationship with Riverbank as a client in 2015. During the renovation of his own home, John’s appreciation and respect for the Riverbank staff increasingly grew. It was also through the duration of his project that John’s affinity for architecture and passion for service was exposed.

In 2009, John graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Architecture and a Minor in Public and Urban Affairs. After graduating, John spent several years studying at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and working in local government for the city of Durham. Now with Riverbank, John has found a fantastic opportunity to engage with people by means of building and design.

John currently resides with his wife and kids in the Walltown neighborhood of Durham. He and his family spend much of their time together serving their church and enjoying many of the unique amenities that Durham has to offer. They are thrilled to be a part of such an exciting time in the history of the Bull City!
